Practice of Gratitude

-Karthik Gurumurthy

One way is to proactively bring so many more positive experiences into each day that it becomes harder and harder to ignore how good things really are. Negativity  came from  an inability  to see  and be grateful  for what was right in life. If you make a conscious effort to acknowledge the awesome side of life and express your gratitude for it.  Gratitude is one of the most univeral mindset booster and happiness enhancer.  It develops to regularly write down what you are grateful for.

Habits

-Karthik Gurumurthy

Stanford University professor B.J. Fogg has spent  years researching how we create habits.  He found that one of the keys is to chunk the desired behavior down to its smallest possible element. An element so "doable" that it'd be near-impossible not to do it. Why? Because the secret to long-term success in any endeavor is not magic but sustained action over time. We don't do anything  for long enough unless it is easy to start and we can keep doing it long enough for it to become a habit. The more we repeat something the more automatic it becomes. Once we've  built that basic behavior into our lives and it has become a habit, the duration and intensity often expand on their own.
